PowerChicks Ghost (aka Zues)

 Born 1993 - 16 hh, Bay Tobiano

Zues is very easy going and goes well under saddle.  We have ridden him on trail rides and  he is very even tempered. Zues clips, loads, baths and is great with the farrier.  He is an all around nice, kind gentleman to work with.

He is a first-rate Sporthorse sire and throws the much desired Tobiano markings on his foals. His foals have a lot of leg and are quite thoroughbred looking even in our draft crosses. With such an outstanding pedigree Zues would be a great addition to any breeding program.

Gallant Ghost, a 1972 bay stallion by Peppy Spook by Tinky’s Spook and out of Bold Farina AQHA, was bred by Lyle and Butch Wonderlich on their RoseAcre Farm near Idaho Falls, Idaho. A highly-successful show horse and the breed’s 29th Supreme Champion, Gallant Ghost was registered as a tobiano.

From a historical perspective, although Gallant Ghost’s sire and grandsire both had bald faces there were no known overos in this Paint family.

As a sire, Gallant Ghost is credited with 255 foals. Of these, approximately 55 percent were tobianos, 15 percent were overos or toveros, and 30 percent were solid. His siring record, then, classifies him not as a tobiano, but as a a tovero
with a strong tobiano influence.
