Activities

Aliantro GA is a foundation Stallion for the Spanish Norman breed. According to the Spanish Norman Registry there are only 71 stallions that meet the specific requirements of a Spanish-Norman horse having at least 50% Andalusian blood.  Constantino ECV, our new foundation sire, is also listed as one of those 71 stallions.

Aliantro possesses outstanding presence and class. His temperament, intelligence, conformation and athletic abilities are qualities he got from his sire.. he now passes those sought after qualities onto his foals. Aliantro does carry the bay gene and throws consistent 60% bays on his mares, even on gray mares.

August 2002, Aliantro competed in his first Andalusian show, the Northwest Andalusian Horse Association's Annual "Festival of the Andalusian," held every year in Puyallup, Washington. Aliantro took the Prestigious Senior Andalusian Stallion Championship. At the IALHA Nationals in Ft. Worth, Texas (October 2002), Aliantro placed a respectable third in the Senior Spanish Stallions Specialty Class, judged by the honorable Juan Llamas Perdigo of Spain, acclaimed expert and author... with a 74.5% in the Functionality Test - the equivalent of a 1st level dressage test and a 73.5% in the Conformation Class.

An Expanded History of Activities

Prior to 2004, Aliantro had been showing in the hunter/jumper ring for over 5 years and has been very successful.  Placing in the top 5 every time and in the money.  He has extreme power from behind for jumping and very light and tight up front.  At the time, he was training 3rd level dressage and had some basic high school training as well, such as Levade, Piaffe and Spanish Walk.  He is very smart and passes all his great conformation and great temperament onto his foals.  He currently has 23 Spanish-Normans on the ground. His offspring are winning in the show ring as well as Gold Medal movement awards and excelling in a variety of disciplines from show to pleasure mounts.

He was the Champion Sr. Stallion at the 2002 "Festival of the Andalusian" (Puyallup, Washington - August, 2002) as well as placing top 5 in Open Hunt Seat. This was his first ever show in the purebred showcase in his breed.

Additionally, Aliantro was third in the Senior Spanish Stallions Specialty Class at the Nationals in Ft. Worth, Texas in October 2002 judged by Juan Llamas) placing 3rd and as well placing 4ths in dressage training level.

2004 was a new year for Aliantro, pursuing reining and starting a career in the western divisions as well as continuing his jumping.  He is an extraordinary individual with a lot of talents.

UPDATE

Aliantro is now making his home in New York State.  He is owned by Rachael and Joe Falis and he is going to be their foundation sire.  We wish them all the best.  They are enjoying him immensely.
