Activities

This filly  will be big, maturing up to16.2 hh.    She will definitely be a contender for the hunter/jumper or dressage rings. Like her full brother Rembrandt, she has a very loving personality. Great Sporthorse prospect.  Raggae was awarded Premium status in 2005 at the Canadian Warmblood Inspection. She is by Radjah Z out of Ramiro Z, Alme and Zangersheide lines.  Raggae is a big beautiful mover with lots of stride with the ability for jumping like her sire. She has a lot of animation in her trot. She has a huge ground covering stride and is people orientated. Reggae will be ready to start her career in hunters/jumpers or dressage this year.
Easy to work with on the ground she clips, loads, bathes and stands for the farrier. We can not say enough about this outstanding filly, either as a show horse or broodmare for the future, horses like her are hard to come by. Take a look twice. She is just absolutely lovely!!

Reggae was presented in Oct. 2005 for inspection and scored consistent 7 & 8's for correctness of gaits, swing and elasticity, Breed type and conformation.

Radjah Z  ~ Ramiro Z - Alme
1985 Oldenburg Stallion 16.3 HH

Radjah Z

Radjah Z comes from Zangersheide, the ever producing source of sport horses. The bloodline combination of the top jumping stallion Ramiro and Alme Z produced such stars as Rebel Z I, Royal Flash Z, Ramalgo Z, Rame Z, and Rebel Z III. This breeding philosophy also produced Ratina Z, Silver Olympic and World Cup Final winner. The sire Robin Z became the banner representative of this bloodline. Radjah Z was bought as a foal by the studmaster, Gerd Kraft, from Zangersheide. In Radjah's pedigree, behind Ramiro and Alme Z, it continues with the grey stallion Sigesmund - the first Hannoverian taken in by the Oldenburg studbook. Sigesmund covered several years in Klein-Roscharden and, with his daughters, produced excellent partners for such stallions as Lowen As and Grannus. But he was also directly noted as a producer of important jumping horses. His son, Sirius II, was the most successful Oldenburg sport horse of his day.

In 1988, Radjah Z finished 6th out of 73 in the Medingen stallion testing with a score of 129.73 in the top group behind the presently famous stallions Alcatraz, Come On, Corrado I, Roderick and Ritual. Radjah Z then went on to produce Rangoon (his first son to receive Koring in l991) who went on, in l992, to become the clear winner of the stallion performance test in Warendorf. Rangoon came out of a Disco-King mare and represented Rhineland in the German Championships in l993, in Mannheim.

Radjah Z produced Ratino, who received the Koring in 1993 out of a dam by RomadourII - Abendregen/T. He was also a top finisher in the Stallion Performance test in Munchen-Riem. In 1993, the FN lists him as second best progeny producer of the young stallion group, beaten only by Schockemohle's Grey "Calvin" and in front of such Greats in the progeny department as Contender, Phantom, Lord Liberty and also his former stable mate, Larome

Grandsire

G. RAMIRO Z

16.3 hands

Born 1965, died 1995

Breeder - Paul Bahlmann

In a lifespan of thirty years, this horse's performance as a sporthorse and breeding sire, has earned him already the title - 'Stallion of the Century'. Some may argue about this, but none can take away the outstanding merits of this King of Sires.

Conceived in Holstein, born in Westfalia, licenced at Neumünster, and himself an international performer under Frtiz Liggges, this stallion influenced nearly all European Performance Studbooks. Some Australian sires and broodmares carry his genes as well.

Ramiro was the most popular distributor of the Ramzes blood and the most frequented sire in Germany. He stood at stud in Westfalia, Holstein, Zangersheide and Holland. Numerous sons and daughters conserve and pass on the valuable genes that stand for rideability and jumping talent. Therefore, it is not a surprise to find Ramiro's children and grandchildren at the top levels of show jumping and dressage.

It is simply impossible to mention all is successful progeny on one page. From his first breeding season, came the super mare, Fatinitza, show jumping from victory to victory under Fritz Ligges and Thomas Frühmann, and later mother of the Zangerheide stallion, Almiro Z.

Ramiro's second season saw him in Holstein where he produced three stallions: Rinaldo (out of a Trakehner mare), Rio Negro, who became a Grand Prix dressage horse, trained by Willi Schultheis, and Ronald, who was for years the most popular stallion in Holstein, where he sired five licensed sons (among them the Champion of 1992, Rocadero - now in Australia) and more than a hundred top broodmares, many of whom became mothers of sires like Alcatraz, Libero, Lord Incipit, Larno, Le Grand - all exquisite sires and sporthorses. Ronald, like his famous father, went to Holland - where he stood for five years, and sired, among others, the show jumping sire Saluut, the father of the Australian stallion, Salute.

Ramiro's influence on the Dutch Warmblood breeding was, and still is, of utmost importance. The Dutch bestowed the title - 'Horse of the Year' - on Ramiro in 1992. For Leon Melchior's performance breeding program at Zangerheide, Ramiro became the strongest and most successful pillar.

Ratina Z (by Ramiro out of Argentina by Almé), the gold medal show jumping winner at Barcelona and the World Cup winner of 1992, is a famous example of Melchior's breeding program.

Ramiro was one of the first stallions to appear in the sport. During his own sporting career, Ramiro had numerous wins at all levels of show jumping - Nations Cups, Puissance (jumping over 2.2 metre!) and in international Grand Prix competition.

When Ramiro was presented for selection, he was described as the ideal type of the modern Holsteiner - strongly imprinted by his dam, tall and elegant, showing the top line of h is grandfather, Cottage Son xx, with powerful frame, a glorious face and large, clear eyes. His excellently formed neck, beautifully set, could still be seen, even when he was an old horse, and are stamped on his progeny. Ramiro displayed a very good walk, a normal trot. and a great canter - it was impossible not to be enthusiastic.

Fortunately Ramiro's offspring show their ancestor's genetic power and performance. These genes are now spread all over the world. A number of breeders in Australia, cherish this bloodline and try to consolidate Ramiro's heritage as an invaluable part of performance horse breeding in this country. The first young sporthorses carrying Ramiro's genes are out there now competing and the future looks very promising for them.
